Celebrate the start of the school holidays with the AKROPOLE Alfa Family Festival!
On Līgo and Jāņi, AKROPOLE Rīga and AKROPOLE Alfa shopping centres will change their opening hours, but this will not prevent visitors from properly preparing for the most joyful festivities of the year. To get in the festive mood, creative activities with a solstice theme will take place on 21 June at both shopping centres. And until 22 June, everyone can prepare festive treats and gifts for Jānis and Līga by visiting the Līgo delicacies and goodies traders.

To create a special Līgo mood, from 14 to 22 June, both shopping centres will host a Līgo market of delicacies and goodies – at AKROPOLE Rīga by entrance C and at AKROPOLE Alfa by entrance A. In both shopping centres, you can buy quality wooden products made with love by Sidrabkoks, crowns and designer head ornaments from KŌRAS vainagi, as well as unique wines, ciders, mulled wines, and alcohol-free beverages from Ledus vīni winery. And the Media Lab will introduce you to unusual perfumes, home fragrances, essential oils, and other products from the fascinating world of scents.
Children and adults will also be able to indulge in creative and summery activities, with creative workshops taking place on 21 June from 12.00 to 17.00 in both shopping centres. Visitors will have the opportunity to create unique brooches, bracelets or necklaces using linen fabric, natural leather, metal elements, and summer motifs. Visitors will be able to capture their Solstice feelings in a colourful and themed Līgo photo corner, and by spinning the Līgo belief wheel, they will be able to find out what beliefs characterise this Solstice. Special attention will also be paid to the youngest visitors, who’ll be able to meet the AKROPOLE Rīga or AKROPOLE Alfa mascots throughout the event.
Changes in opening hours during the holidays
Visitors should note that during the Jāņi holidays, AKROPOLE Rīga and AKROPOLE Alfa shopping centres will have different opening hours. On 23 June, both shopping centres will be open for one hour less, from 10.00 to 20.00, while on 24 June, both shopping centres will be closed. However, some shops and service providers will be open on Jāņi and their opening hours will be as follows:
AKROPOLE Rīga (Latgales iela 257)
- On 23 June, the supermarket Maxima XXX will be open from 8.00 to 22.00, but on 24 June – from 9.00 to 23.00;
- Lemon Gym will be open 24 hours a day;
- On 23 June, Apollo Kino Akropole Rīga will work from 10.00 to 18.00 (at 18.00 the last screenings will start), but on 24 June – from 12.00 to 22.00;
- On 23 June, Euroaptieka will be open from 9.00 to 20.00 and on 24 June – from 10.00 to 20.00;
- On 23 June, the medical centre will be open from 10.00 to 19.00 and closed on 24 June;
- Bank branches will be open from 10.00 to 19.00 on 23 June and closed on 24 June.
AKROPOLE Alfa (Brīvības gatve 372)
- On 23 June, the supermarket Rimi will be open from 8:00 to 21:00 and on 24 June – from 11.00 to 22.00;
- The My Fitness sports club will be open from 10.00 to 20.00 on 23 June and closed on 24 June;
- On 23 June, Cinamon Akropole Alfa cinema will be open from 10.00 to 20.00, but on 24 June – from 12.00 to 22.30;
- Bank branches will be open on 23 June from 10.00 to 19.00 and closed on 24 June. SEB Bank will be closed on 23 and 24 June.
