Discover the world through the eyes of a child – AKROPOLE Alfa invites you to the exhibition “Hear Me Out”

2024-01-03

From 3 to 31 January, in the exhibition hall on the 3rd floor of the shopping and entertainment centre AKROPOLE Alfa, the exhibition “Hear Me Out”, organised by the Charity Foundation “Bērnu rīts” in collaboration with the artist Tatjana Tasso, will be on display. The exhibition features 34 paintings created by orphans and children without parental care. These artworks allow one to take a look at children’s fantasies and the world of unlimited possibilities, capturing the unique individuality of every child and allowing them to be heard.

“The exhibition “Hear Me Out” sends a message helping to ensure that every child who calls an out-of-home care institution his or her home, is heard and listened to. Although the holidays are over, one thing remains the same: for these children, it is the time spent together that matters more than the material gifts. The greatest and most fervent wish of children and orphans without parental care is to find their family, who will always be there for them and will be able to provide much-needed love and care,” says Jaroslava Tomaševiča, Head of the Charity Foundation “Bērnu rīts”.

“We invite you to start the New Year 2024 by visiting the exhibition of paintings “Hear Me Out”, which allows you to look at the world through art and see the things that are happening around through the eyes of a child, as well as feel and perceive things that might go unnoticed. The exhibition not only provides an opportunity to indulge in an inspiring art experience but is also a great way to complement a visit to the shopping centre and combine the useful with the pleasant,” says Aija Urbāne-Orbāne, Marketing Manager of the shopping centres AKROPOLE Alfa and AKROPOLE Rīga.

The exhibition “Hear Me Out” features paintings by orphans and children left without parental care, created under the inspiring and motivating supervision of artist Tatjana Tasso and volunteers from the Charity Foundation “Bērnu rīts”. Each work is special in its uniqueness and gives everyone the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich fantasy world of children.

During its 17 years of operation, the Charity Foundation “Bērnu rīts” has supported many children who have been left without parental care. For these children, art is a great way to express their emotions and communicate with the world around them. The experience of the Charity Foundation confirms that it is often through different artistic expressions that these children can open up and tell their stories.

The exhibition “Hear Me Out” is available every day from 10:00 to 21:00 on the 3rd floor of AKROPOLE Alfa. Entry is free. The exhibition is supported by AVER Brokerage.
